In Power Master 1: A Strange Journey, a Book of Nightmare is an equipable weapon. According to its description, it is created by fusing two Books of Sleep together. Book of Nightmare deals Dark-based damage and increases the wielder's Attack by 200. It makes the wielder strong against Dark- and Physical-based moves, but weak to Light-, Stone-, Sword-, Axe-, Bow-, and Whip-based ones, with the wielder taking twice the property of the respective attack. It also has a 75% chance of inflicting a Confused status ailment on the enemy.
