Hypnock is the boss of Bora Building and the second boss of Power Master 1: A Strange Journey. Hypnock is a giant clock who has the power of hypnotism, as seen with the Workers he hypnotized into helping him.
When the player initially meets him, Hypnock claims they, and the people who built Bora Building, have trespassed on his land and wishes them to be removed. Upon being defeated, he leaves.
Hypnock's name is a portmanteau of the words "hypnotic" and "clock". He is also one of the creator's more favorite characters.[1]

GrandHypnock is the more powerful form of Hypnock and the boss of Hora Headquarters. Still set on removing the humans from his land, he is now claiming Hora is part of the land as well and challenges the player. Upon being defeated, he is convinced to return to his village leader and get more information.

GrandHypnock returns as a "copied" variant in Cora Castle, created by Exitilus's magic. He is fought in the room to the right of the entrance and defeating him opens up the room with a copied Phantom.

Trivia

  • The name of Hypnock's homeland, Shadurn, is revealed in PM1 only if the player defeats him solo.
    • The name was also revealed in the Power Master 1R Written Story.
