Power Master 1

Bora Building is, as the name implies, a large building built next to the town of Bora and is the second level in Power Master 1: A Strange Journey. Bora Building's design underwent a drastic change during the development stages. Originally, the player was supposed to open several Treasure Chests in order to find the Key to the next room and the rooms all looked exactly alike. While Keys still play a part in the redesigned dungeon, several transfer tiles that warp the player to different rooms were added.

Exterior

The player enters the area from Bora in the southwest. Aside from the entrance to the level itself, the only other noteworthy thing is a chest containing some Gold Bars to the north of the Building. The player is transferred to the sidings of the Building when transitioning between floors.

Interior

First Floor

In order to continue, the player needs to grab the Key to the right of the entrance and open a door. Every transfer panel behind the door will eventually lead to the end of the floor, but opening the door second from the right is the fastest path. Workers will attack the player in the level from here on out.

Second Floor

The player needs to warp between rooms, gathering Keys to unlock the doors as they go. Following the arrows displayed on the map to the left will lead the player to the end of the room. If the player goes through the correct panels, it's possible to only need one Key.

Third Floor

Third floor of Bora Building

The third floor is pretty straightforward. All the player needs to do is gather the Keys to unlock the doors and move forward. Elite Workers are also added to the enemy appearance.

The final floor is a web of transfer tiles. However, simply going back through the tile the player just went through three times will lead the player to the end of the room. The chest in the center contains a Heal-All Health Vial and can be accessed with the extra Key from the second floor or by finding the correct transfer tile.

The only thing on the room of Bora Building is the boss: Hypnock. Though, if the player were to return, they would find Alexander Bodine, who gives some info about Hypnock. He also turns into Hypnock if the player is under the effects of Doppel's Dimension.

Hypnock is probably one of my more favorite characters. His name is a combination of "hypnotic" and "clock." I thought a regular hypnotist would be somewhat boring, so I made Hypnock! As for the land he hails from, you'll see it one day and he talks about it by name in the remake. Well, see you around!
